Böhler M390 Microclean (optimal alternative to CPM S 90 V)
Powder metallurgically produced martensitic chrome steel with the highest wear resistance and toughness
Large proportions of small, finely distributed Cr and V carbides in the base material offer maximum corrosion resistance, best wear resistance and excellent polishability at the same time.
Use: high-performance cutting tools, knife blades
C: 1.9 Si: 0.70 Mn: 0.3 Cr: 20 Mo: 1.0 V: 4.0 W: 0.6
Delivery condition:
-heated / cross-rolled
- soft annealed
-Width laser cut, length sawn (thus no bending / curvature due to the cutting process!)
-relaxed
Achievable final hardness: 60-62 HRC
Heat treatment:
- Hardening at 1100 - 1150 ° C in oil (holding time: approx. 20 minutes)
- Recommended freezing treatment: -70 ° C (2 hours)
- tempering at 200 ° C (2x 2 hours)
