1.2510 (O1- Arne) knifemaking steel: 3x50x1000mm

ARNE (aka O1, or 1.2510) is a Manganese-Chrome-Tungsten alloy oil-hardened carbon steel that is one of the preferred raw materials for many novice and professional knife makers abroad.

Arne steel (O1 steel) is characterized by:

• easy to cut
• Keeps its size well during training
• Good combination of high surface hardness and toughness for hardening and tempering

                      after

• Easy to train even for beginners, a "forgiving" raw material for training

Together, these properties result in a steel that is best suited for making tools with the right life and low cost.

Arne steel (O1 steel) is available in knife sizes, with an almost perfectly flat surface to make the material as easy to work with as possible.

Available hardness: 61-63HRC

Heat treatment:

Training: 840C in oil

Tempering: 200C (2x1hour)
